Holiday Bag Of Books Sale

Picture this, the snow is falling outside in big fluffy flakes, a glance at the ground shows that it has clearly been snowing all night, and florescent white reflects brightly outside, looking picturesque as a postcard. The only thing that could complete this perfect scene is a good book and something warm to drink as you swim lazily through the pages of a captivating mystery, or a breezy comedy.

Luckily, The Friends of Lakewood Public Library are here to help provide you with just the right book, movie, CD or graphic novel this Holiday season.

We will be having our holiday Bag of Books Sale on December 5 and that will begin bright and early at 9 a.m. downstairs in the basement, the sale will go until 5 p.m. and will be happening in conjunction with all of our activities scheduled in the afternoon for Light Up Lakewood.

If you would like first dibs on all the goodies, sign up to be a Friend of the library at our front desk, and attend the preview sale being held Thursday December 3 from 6 to 9 p.m. It should be noted that the preview sale is not a bag sale.

Some of the things we are excited to share in this upcoming sale are the remaining music collection donated by Lynnette Guttmann, a wide variety of graphic novels, Allied Health nursing books and some brand new, never before used, fiction and mystery books.

We hope to see you, as we finish up the year as only Lakewood knows how, with family, diversity and learning as the center of our community. In a time when so much in the world does not reflect what we have here in our Lakewood neighborhoods, we will do our best to keep serving and providing in order to uphold the things that make people proud to call this city home.
