SWTF: Vicki Chew’s Valentine’s Day Concert

Love. It’s the word of the day on Valentine’s and the word Vicki Chew uses to describe how she feels about writing and performing a song. The talented singer, songwriter and guitarist will be sharing the love at a special Sunday With The Friends Valentine’s Day concert on none other than February 14, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Lakewood Public Library.

Vicki will be joined by bassist Dave Huddleston and drummer Gary Naherny. The trio started performing together seven years ago and most recently recorded a new CD, People in the Sun. CDs will be available for purchase after the show.

Dave Huddleston tells of his experience playing with the group on vickichewmusic.com, ”Vicki’s music casts a spell on me. Each song has dreamlike flashes of sweet or bittersweet visions and emotions, entwined in her beautifully unusual chord voicings. Every time I hear them I take fresh inspiration from the moment, from her voice, and from Gary’s subtle rhythmic accompaniment.”

This special Sunday With The Friends concert will be held in the Main Library Auditorium. As always, the show is free and open to the public thanks to the ongoing support of the Friends of Lakewood Public Library.
