Summer Bible Camps Offered By Faith

Plans are in place for two summer Bible camps for kids offered by Faith Lutheran Church, Lakewood, and its ministry partners.

Kids who finished grades kindergarten through 6th grade are welcome to “The Jesus Way” day camp from June 20 through June 24.

The camp runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day that week and features college-age counselors from Lutheran Outdoor Ministries of Ohio, leading stories, songs and games. Registration is $20 and includes lunch and snacks.

For multiple kids from the same household, the fee is $20 for the first child and $10 for each additional child. Financial aid is available. Contact Pastor Mark Rollenhagen at Faith at 216-226-6500 for more information.

This year’s camp will be held at Our Savior’s Rocky River Lutheran Church, 20300 Hilliard Blvd. Faith and Our Savior’s are partners in a cooperative ministry known as Good Soil Lutheran Ministries.

The Good Soil congregations – along with Calvary United Methodist and Grace Presbyterian Church – also will offer a Vacation Bible School at Faith, 16511 Hilliard Road, Lakewood, in July.

The VBS is offered to kids ages 4-11 during the week of July 18-22, from 9:30 a.m. to noon.

Cost is $5 per child or $10 per family. Campers will be encouraged to bring donations that will go into the food, clothing and personal care pantries operated by Calvary, Faith and Grace in southwest Lakewood.
