Lakewood Grad Max Lavisky Claims Conference Baseball Honor While Pitching For Tri-C

Max Lavisky on the mound for Tri-C

Max Lavisky of Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) earned Baseball Pitcher of the Week honors from the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference for his performance April 18-24.

Lavisky pitched six scoreless innings against Lakeland Community College on April 23 to lead the Challengers to a 6-0 victory over the conference rival. He allowed just three hits while striking out seven.

The win raised Lavisky’s record to 7-1 on the season, with 37 strikeouts and a 1.72 ERA in eight starts for the Challengers. He tossed a no-hitter on April 15 against Clark State Community College.

The freshman from Lakewood is studying criminal justice at Tri-C.
