Gain Financial Peace

As reported in a May 2016 Atlantic Monthly article 47% of American families would need to borrow or sell something to raise $400 to cover an emergency financial need. Does this describe your family and/or you, looking to be on firmer financial ground? Then consider enrolling in a 9-week Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University (FPU) course being offered this fall at Lakewood United Methodist Church.

Dave Ramsey is a radio host and financial author who through his resources and advice has helped families make better financial decisions. The 9-week course outlines seven Baby Steps to create a budget, get out of debt and make a plan for your money. The online price for the materials are $109, but due to special pricing the LUMC course with all materials is $80 per family. The course is appropriate for individuals or couples.

The course begins on Wednesday, September 14th running from 7-9 p.m. for nine weeks at the LUMC at 15700 Detroit Avenue. The course is being coordinated by two graduates of the course. Childcare is available on site.
