"Help End Cancer" Music Festival
The "Help End Cancer" Fundraising Music Festival and Taligate Party for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society will take place on Saturday September 17, 2016. One-hundred percent of the profits go to LLS.
Location: Parking lot next to Avenue Tap House 18206 Detroit Ave.
There will be live music, food, beer and prizes from noon until 8 p.m. General Admission is $10 and kids under 12 are free. There will be an outdoor cash bar (beer only).
Rain or shine. Last year it rained the entire day and the party was still off the charts. The event features fabulous entertainment including Colin Dussault's Acoustic Side Project w/Jim & Eroc and culminating with the "Swamp Pop" Sounds of Cats On Holiday - two of Lakewood's finest home grown musical outfits. There will be other muscial acts as well. There will also be a ceremonial cutting of more than one person's hair to donate to cancer victims. Bill Blatt will be having his golden locks chopped for a great cause.
This is really an example of the community coming together. Just about every Lakewood business big and small has supported this awesome event as well as many generous individuals. The list of sponsors is too extensive to list. You might have seen the posters around town listing all the Platinum, Gold and Silver sponsors.
