LHS Cheerleaders Bring Sparkle To Browns Game

The team poses after a successful performance.

The LHS Cheerleaders appeared at halftime of the September 1 Cleveland Browns game vs. the Chicago Bears. It rained during the first half of the Thursday night game, but the weather cleared before the end of the second quarter. Their performance went smoothly, much to the delight of Head Coach Amy Staib. "The kids had a great time cheering under the NFL lights and making memories they'll remember for a lifetime," she said.

The performance was part of "The Sparkle Effect" program, which is sponsored by the Cleveland Browns Foundation. Now in its second year, the program allows students with and without disabilities perform as one team. The Cheerleading team, along with the Sparkles, will perform at the remaining LHS home football games. They will also be part of the Homecoming Parade later this month.
