7th Annual "Let's Love Lakewood" Community Outreach Event

Lakewood New Life Church (LNLC) celebrated its 7th annual “Let’s Love Lakewood”community outreach event on Saturday August 12th. At the event, LNLC gave away 530 backpacks filled with school supplies to children in need, offered prayer to families, and provided a place for families to register for Toys for Tots. LNLC will be contacting the families selected to receive their toys sometime in December.

LNLC has an Outreach Ministry dedicated to serving this community. The Director of Community Outreach, Eric Stephens says “We just want to be an aid and a blessing to the people in Lakewood. We love this city. There’s a lot of good that can be done in this community and it feels really good to give back in some way. We are always looking for new ways to serve, so please contact me at LNLC, 216-221-6174, with any volunteer opportunities you have for your business or organization.” LNLC partners with LakewoodAlive several times a year through their Housing Outreach program by doing yard clean-ups for families in need.

Next year’s backpack and school supply giveaway will be on Saturday August 11th at 12pm at 14224 Detroit Ave.
