Meet Author/Cyclist Mark J. Looney

Looney cycled across Ohio on the Ohio to Erie trail.

Cyclist Mark J. Looney will discuss his latest book, "A Path through Ohio: A Bicycle Journal" in his Meet the Author appearance at the Lakewood Public Library's Main Auditorium on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at 7:00 p.m.

A thirty-five year veteran cyclist, Looney rode across the United States in 1983. In "A Path through Ohio," Looney cycles across Ohio via the Ohio to Erie Trail, a newly formed bicycle trail which links Lake Erie in the north with the Ohio River to the south.

"A Path through Ohio: A Bicycle Journal" offers the reader a blend of Ohio’s rich history, its land as seen from the saddle of a bike, and a view of the people making up the Heartland state. The book also includes “Looney’s Road Rules,” a light and humorous set of cycling guidelines which provide the details necessary for any intermediate or long distance ride.

Looney’s talk takes place in the Main Library Auditorium. Admission is free and open to all. Books will be available for sale and signing at this event.
