Sew Your Own Library Tote

Sew a sturdy, but stylish, book tote at the Library.

In observance of Earth Day later this month, go green and sew your own tote at Lakewood Public Library. The Library stopped handing out plastic bags years ago out of a concern for the environment and as a way to save a little money but that doesn’t mean we want you to stop checking out more materials than you can carry.

Library patrons eight years and older are invited to register for the Sew Your Own Library Tote program on Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. in the Main Library Homework Room. Create your own unique and stylish tote bag in this hands-on, no experience necessary craft program. All of the materials you need are provided and a master seamstress will be on hand to guide you through it.

This program is free for participants but space is limited and registration is required. To register, call (216) 226-8275, ext. 140 or visit http://www.lakewoodpubliclibrary.org/event/sew-your-own-library-tote-9977/.
