Holiday Appreciation Contest
Once again it is time for Christmas and the holidays. With the season comes holiday decorating of homes and businesses. The past four years we've had a contest; this year we have decided to make it an appreciation event. We are thankful for all who try to bring a little joy, fun, and mirth into Lakewood with their decorating skills.
The true spirit of the holiday can be seen in small tasteful or fun gestures, to displays designed and installed by professionals. It doesn’t matter, it is the effort we want to acknowledge and appreciate with over 30 presents from us, to the homes you think deserve to be thanked and acknowledged. Our judges are Ian Andrews from LakewoodAlive, Dan O’Malley, Ward 4 Councilman, Michael Bentley from Bentley Wealth Management/Raymond James, Kim Walcheck from Lakewood Community Interest Forum, Dan Alaimo from the LO Deck and Stephen Davis, interested resident and one of the LO founders.
To enter a home go to the front page of the Lakewood Observer Website, and answer the “Question of the Day? “Your Favorite Christmas House, (leave address)” http://lakewoodobserver.com/daily-question/2018-10-30. Or send the address or photos to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Besides the 30 gifts, if you were the first to suggest the winning home you will win dinner for 2, and 2 Lakewood Observer Glow-in-the-Dark T-Shirts. The over-all winner as judged by panel and community will win dinner for four at Melt, Woodstock BBQ, India Garden, or Rood.
