You’ve Written A Book…Now What?

Local author Amanda Uhl writes a blog which sometimes gives aspiring writers advice on the writing and publishing process. So what is her secret for finishing a book when faced with writer’s block? Keep writing.

If you want more practical tips and insight into the book publishing world, join us at Lakewood Public Library on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. in the Main Library Auditorium. Uhl will be joined by Jill Grunenwald, Dana McSwain and James Renner for a panel discussion moderated by Lee Chilcote, founder and former executive director of Literary Cleveland.

Each of these local authors has published at least two books. Uhl is a romance novelist, Grunenwald writes memoir, Renner has written both fiction and true crime, and McSwain writes fiction with a strong action theme. As Cleveland-based writers who have successfully navigated the writing and book-publishing process, these four authors will offer their expertise on writing, editing, query letters and finding an appropriate publisher. As moderator, Chilcote will begin the discussion, followed by questions from the audience.

Whether you want to ask these successful authors questions about your own manuscript, or you simply like reading and supporting the work of local writers, join us at Lakewood Main Library on May 2, 2019 for an enlightening evening. Books will be available for sale and signing.
