Regan Clawson Receives PPNEO Award for Outstanding Staff Service
Ms. Clawson had multiple nominations for the award, for which the criteria included "demonstrated leadership and initiative" and "adherence to PPNEO values of service excellence, trust and respect, communication, diversity, and professional expertise and development."
"Regan has worked tirelessly on many committees and workgroups to establish a strong workplace," said a coworker in her nomination. "She is always conscientious of the important balance between keeping staff satisfied, clients well-served, and maintaining high quality, cost-effective care."
Ms. Clawson, of Lakewood, will be honored at PPNEO's annual meeting on June 25, 2008 at the Cultural Center for the Arts in Canton, and her name will be engraved on the Nelson Award plaque that is displayed in the Akron Boardroom, along with previous winners. The Martha D. Nelson MD Fund was established in December 1996 to recognize the service of Dr. Nelson following her retirement from the Planned Parenthood Board of Trustees after serving 30 years. Awards were made to staff members in 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007.
