This November 11th is a day to appreciate and recognize all of our veterans. At Garfield Middle School we are having a Veterans’ Breakfast and Program which is co-sponsored by H2O. This program will take place at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 7th at Garfield Middle School’s Learning Resource Center (LRC) at 13114 Detroit Avenue in Lakewood. It will begin with a breakfast, after which veterans will attend an all-school assembly in the gym. After this program, veterans can go to different classrooms to talk to students about their memories and experiences in the military. The veterans who stay and visit classrooms, will be served lunch at approximately 11:30 a.m. Veterans can attend any or all of these events.
