Postby Jim O'Bryan » Wed Aug 29, 2007 5:23 am

Lakewood Is Art
Meeting Minutes?Opening:
The first meeting of the Lakewood is Art organization was called to order at 7:00pm on August 28, 2007 in Bela Dubby by Ruth Koenigsmark.
Present:
Ruth Koenigsmark, Chair
Jill Crino, Vice-Chair
Jim O’Bryany, Community Liason
Barbara Michel, Marketing/PR Director
Christine Kazimer
Terry Wintering
Meeting Minutes:

Ruth opened the meeting by introducing all the attendees.

Jim O’Bryan followed by going over our first project – EC_Trees, which will be placed in front of the new Lakewood Public Library, funding for this project will be coming from the Library’s budget. Jim then proceeded with descriptions of two future project ideas – Ziggy statue and Robert Crumb statue. Jim indicated that there are several money sources he would be contacting in the future for these projects.

Terry Wintering came up with the idea of a project which would provide numerous statues of dogs scattered throughout the city that could be decorated by various artists (similar to what they did with guitars in Cleveland a couple years back.) Jill Crino suggested that this would be an excellent way to introduce everyone to Lakewood is Art and suggested that each dog have a cartoon type bubble saying “Lakewood is Art.â€Â
