BOARD VOTES TO PARTICIPATE IN STATE CONSTRUCTION PROGRAM

Postby Edward Favre » Tue Jun 04, 2013 10:34 am

At its June 3rd. meeting, the Board of Education passed a resolution agreeing to participate in the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission's Classroom Facilities Assistance Program. Participation in the program will allow the District to receive more than $50 million in state funding to complete the District's construction program. The OSFC votes July 11 on which districts will receive funding next and it is likely Lakewood will be on the list. To be eligible for the OFCC's July decision, the Lakewood Board needed to commit by June 14. All Board Members voted affirmatively.
