Wow. Killing is a misdemeanor?

I understand you could accidentally kill someone in many unfortunate ways, but driving a vehicle is a privilege that comes with responsibility. If you’ve been negligent in following the rules of driving and safely operating a vehicle, then how “accidental” is it, really?

I am also surprised to hear that it is just a misdemeanor.

Walking in Lakewood has become increasingly hazardous. Especially crossing streets while on Detroit or Madison. Traffic on these roads has increased and drivers are in such a hurry to turn or go through that light, they no longer pay attention to pedestrians. I can see it in people's eyes in their car as (for example) they exit the Starbucks and want to turn left. They totally watch for the traffic on the left and right to be clear of cars but they never glance to the sidewalk to look for pedestrians. Must be too much work.

Add to the list:
Crossing Warren at Clifton.
Many drivers on think the sign says "yield".

Matt

A very interesting observation, and one I believe is true, but isn't it odd seeing how we have decreased lanes of traffic?

Wonder what the reason is?
