This afternoon around 4pm Lakewood Fire/Police Dispatch received of a call of a car on fire in a driveway on Arthur south of Athens.
When the Fire Department arrived they found the owner, Mark, one of Lakewood's most loved and hardest working Lakewood residents, and member of LakewoodAlive standing there spraying water on his car. which was on fire.
Now it was amazing to see just how calm and collected Mark was, after all the car was well and truly on fire.
As the fire trucks arrived and unrolled their hoses, they had Mark move away from the car.
They moved in and quickly extinguished the blaze.
Mark explained, "I hadn't driven the car recently went out to start it then went inside for my phone, when I came back out I saw smoke, next thing I knew it was on fire."
No one hurt, no buildings lost. The Buick, now that might be another story.
