Let me start off by thanking everyone that took the time and effort to run, it is appreciated. Also thank you to everyone that took part in the democratic process from campaign workers to poll workers to voters. The system only works when we all take part.

With that said, Sarah Kepple, Tristan Rader, and Tom Bullock head back to Council. One could look on this as a vote of confidence residents feel Lakewood is headed the right way.

In the race for Municipal Judge, Tess Neff edged out Sara Fagnilli by under 100 votes. This race was tight from the first day. Both candidates were qualified.

In the race to Lakewood Board of Education, Betsy Shaughnessy returns, and the hand off to the next generation continues with Nora Katzenbeger winning big!

There is also more news about schools, sports, music, life and fun in Lakewood. Presented to you twice a month by your friends and neighbors. In this coming year please take the time to sign up and share your photos and stories. Lakewood's most complete running history of the community we love, and the city we call home.

Once again thank you Woodstock Smoke Joint BBQ, India Garden, West End Tavern and Root for all their help with the Best Decorations in Spookywood, and already signing up for the Christmas/Holiday Lighting Contest.

Any winner of the Spookywood Contest, please claim your prize by sending a note to "production@lakewoodobserver.com." Over $130 in prizes hand out the first day! Any prize not claimed by 11.31.2021 will be rolled over to the Christmas/Holiday Lighting Contest.

PEACE/LOVE
