As we present our penultimate issue for 2021, we wrap up some loose ends in stories from the Observer over the past couple months. We also try to help you wrap up your holiday shopping for friends and family with our Hometown Holiday Gift Guide, highlighting some of the locally owned gift shops in Lakewood, Ohio. We thank all of the businesses included for their cooperation.

We also kick off the infamous Lakewood Observer Holiday Decoration Contest. Starting today we are collecting suggestions for homes that you think deserve recognition, a call out, or just should be added to the 2021 Gallery of Holiday Decorations that now goes back over 15 years with thousands of images from Lakewood's past! It is easy just go to “The Question Of The Day” on our front page. Click on the question and add the address. Yes, you can nominate your own home. Yes, you can nominate more than one home. And yes you can enter more homes every day leading up to 15th of December. Then it closes for voting on the top 20 homes. As always, our good friends and supporters at Woodstock BBQ, India Garden, West End Tavern and the Root Café are providing the prizes.
