Baby You Can Drive My Car...
I know we have some car nuts out there, this thread is for you. As I have done with
other constants "galleries" I am posting a record of vehicles in and around Lakewood.
I would encourage all to share. Whilethis is the walkable community, we also appreciate, no
make that, loves vehicles. From big wheels to real big wheels this city has become known
for the vehicles it has and brings in. I know Vince has an incredible selection of city vehicles,
and Chris has a great gallery of me parking illegally. Rhonda's car images
are like fine art. So let's share.
Aston Martin DBS
An Aston Martin DBS spotted in front of 56 West. While the brand is most
associated with James Bond, but anyone with an extra $210,000 can buy one.

1962 Citroen 2CV
This one was purchased at a company in Chagrin Falls that rebuilds them and sell
them for $8,000. Which is $6,500more than they cost new. This is a factory paint
scheme that mimics the Bugatti Royal. The interior is wicker!

World's Longest Limousine
By popular request, I have posted the World's Longest Limo!
While not in Lakewood, it did make a rare appearance a couple
years ago to an empty parking lot about 1 mile away. At the
time many of us made many trips to the parking lot to
try to understand how the other half live$$$$$$$$!
In legalese I take this to mean it is not the actual Longest Limo, just one
built as the one in the Guinness Book of World Records.
I mean how cool is that!
Me basking in the opulence of the World's Longest Limo!
While I am personally offended that the parked in a handicap spot, you can't help
but picture riding and partying in style.
Debra O'Bryan looking like a Hollywood Starlet! Check out those tires! Maybe not.
Imagine that hot tub filled with partyers while cruisin'.
Ok maybe it is a little rough around the edges.

Re: Baby You Can Drive My Car...
Jim--- great new thread! Cars are part of the DNA of a bunch of us in Lakewood. And, seeing that super longest stretch limo at the old Gold Circle on Memphis reminds me of you an me "getting together" a while back and on another site.
You said that such a vehicle existed. I didn't believe it. But, I drove over there and lo and behold--------there it was!
It reminded me of my favorite Johnny Cash song-----"Piece by Piece"
Johnny told a tale of starting to work at the Cadillac plant after getting out of the Army in the early 50s. His lifelong dream was to one day, have a Cadillac. So, he and his buddy---everyday---stole a part off the assembly line.
After three years they had enough parts to build a Cadillac.
Had one tail fin, three headlights--- they had to buy an Aydapter (say it phonetically) kit from Kmart to hook up the engine and transmission.
The title took 100 pages at the title bureau.
That limo is the Johnny Cash piece by piece car.
that blonde chick kicking the tires of the Ferrari is kinda cool
Stan

Dallara Indy 2-Seater (IRE_002)
Driving down Detroit Ave. I see an Indy Car approaching from the other direction!
It stops in front of the Rivera, picks up the next rider and off again.
The two seater was developed first in Formula One as a way to give big dollar
sponsors a little more excitement, which sometimes leads to more sponsorship.
Soon every series had them. These were provided by Jack Daniels who was sponsoring
Robby Gordon at the time. Heavily modified for street use.
