Ice Water Rescue at Edgewater

At approximately 3pm Sunday afternoon crews received reports of a group of people that had walked out onto the frozen lake and were now stranded after a sheet of ice broke off and separated. Upon arrival crews observed a second group of people that had also become stranded after walking out onto the ice. The Cleveland Fire Department, Cleveland Metroparks Police, Cleveland EMS, and the U.S. Coast Guard (with a chopper from Detroit) all responded. 10 people in total were rescued.
