BLM Unity Rally at Lakewood Park 6/13/20
Hundreds of protesters attended a unity rally on a sunny Saturday afternoon.
The event, organized by Mariah Davies and Devon White, had eight speakers address issues of systemic racism and police abuse.

Mariah Davies opened the event with a moment of silence for the 49 victims of the 2016 Pulse Nightclub Shooting in Orlando. She then explained why she felt compelled to help organize the event here in Lakewood.

Devon White, who attended Lakewood City Schools, mentioned Lakewood's role in the Underground Railroad. White has previously organized protests in Columbus.
