A New Sanctuary At Lakewood United Methodist Church

Lakewood United Methodist Church will be moving into its new sanctuary on Easter Sunday, April 20. After only four months of intensive work, a beautiful new worship space has emerged. It features a large stage which can be used for many different kinds of musical and drama programs and an area for the congregation with moveable chairs, in addition to traditional pews. Nearby is a fellowship area and a cafe with coffee and refreshments available.

There will be three services on Easter. At 8:30 a.m. the Awakening Service will be held in the Chapel. At 9:45 a.m. the Traditional Service with choir, organ, and brass will be held in the new sanctuary. Then at 11:05 a.m. the Impact Service with the Impact Band will celebrate Easter in the new sanctuary.

The community is invited to take part in any of the services and celebrate Easter at Lakewood United Methodist Church. The church is located at 15700 Detroit Ave., at Summit. You can find us on the web at LkwdUMC.org.
